A renovation and extension to a traditional 1930’s Dublin bungalow
A traditional 1930’s bungalow is transformed by means of two small extensions. The first extension comprises a narrow strip added to the rear of the house which connects the living room to the kitchen-dining room via a generous flight of steps. The strip also allowed the living room to be re-shaped into a well-proportioned, square-shaped room.
The second extension involved the re-building of an existing dormer window. This allowed the staircase to be re-located, thereby improving the layout of the first floor, which accommodates an en suite bathroom, dressing room and master bedroom with views over Dublin Bay.
