Dining Room & Kitchen
Castleknock, County Dublin
The Clients sought to re-build a poorly designed dining room extension at the rear of their suburban house.
The new design re-uses most of the existing walls and foundations and extends the space with a glazed bay made from certified European oak.
The adjacent kitchen was replaced and the layout improved. A new patinated copper roof with triple-glazed rooflight covers the dining area. A bespoke lamp bracket made from brushed brass forms a focal point to the dining space.
The dining room windows frame a view of a new pool and patio paved in Irish limestone. A new planting design in the garden anchors these paved areas forming a carefully arranged landscape to be enjoyed from within.
